Remanence features a collection of micro short films that explore the emotional traces left behind through life’s experiences. Based on dramatic moments in time, surreal themes, and atmospheric settings, each film delves into the echoes of love, loss, joy, and remnants of humanity that endure in the spaces between memory and reality.

Project Description

In this surreal short film, a man struggles to move on after losing the love of his life. His last memory of her is the day she left after meeting him at their favorite spot, just before a rainstorm.

Open Casting

• Man: Late 20s to early 30s with a thoughtful, weathered, and vulnerable look. He should have the ability to express quiet sorrow and introspection with a natural gravitas.
• Woman: Late 20s to early 30s with a poised yet slightly distant, ethereal quality that suits the idea of her fading away. She should carry an aura of nostalgia and emotional depth.

Here, they expose a secret dish that starts the next generation of culinary innovation and tradition. The story is both stoic and reflective, embodying a mix of pride in their legacy and bittersweet acceptance of the end of their journey.

• The Sous Chef: Late 20s to early 30s. They should look bright, professional, soulful, brimming with potential, and with a dynamic and expressive personality.
• The Weathered Chef: Late 50s or older. They should look weathered, but wise, with a face that tells stories of long hours, dedication, and resilience against an air of quiet authority and grace.

Project Description

This is a deeply emotional short film that explores the raw and intimate journey of a father grappling with the devastating loss of his young daughter. In a moment of unbearable pain, he drives to the edge of a cliff, intending to end his life. Through narration, he reflects on his grief, love, and the memories that have brought him to this breaking point. At the brink of despair, a powerful anomaly reminds him that she is still with him.

Anomaly relies on breathtaking visuals, a hauntingly beautiful setting, and an emotionally charged performance to deliver a story about loss, love, and the enduring strength of the human spirit.

• Man: 30s – 50s with the ability to project profound grief. Quietly introspective yet emotionally raw, he carries the weight of his anguish in every gesture and word. Exceptional emotional range, capable of portraying deep sorrow, vulnerability, and subtle hope.

Location Needed

• This project calls for vehicle access to a secluded mountaintop or hilltop that offers breathtaking views of a canyon. The location must be exceptionally scenic, as it plays a pivotal role in the narrative.
